A mathematician couple was having a Frappuccino in Starbucks sitting opposite to each other. Suddenly the guy noticed the text written on the paper in front of them and exclaimed that it was wrong. The girl denied it and said it is appropriate. Both are correct. What is written on the paper?

    1. If the sentence “The girl denied it and said it is appropriate” were “The girl said it was right“, the word “WRONG” could satisfy both. The guy sad it is wrong because the word is ‘WRONG’, and the girl said it is right because what the guy said was right – that the word written is ‘WRONG’.

    2. If the picture given in the puzzle is a clue, then the what was written on the paper could be 9 = IX. The guy guy was sitting on the  ‘wrong’ side saw it as “XI = 6” which is obviously wrong, whereas the girl sitting opposite saw it as  9 = IX which is correct.
