Barrel is half or less than half, can you Judge?

There is a barrel with no lid and some beer in it.
“This barrel is more than half full,” said Chuck.
“No it’s not,” say Joe. “It’s less than half full.”
Without any measuring implements and without removing any beer from the barrel,
How can you easily determine who is correct?
When you tilt the barrel approx 45 degree, if the beer comes out from the barrel then its more than half full else its less than half full.
Put another half barrel of beer in the current barrel.Two conditions may arise:
- Either the current barrel will overflow – which means it was more than half full.
- Or the current barrel will not overflow – which means it was less than half full.
