Can you tell who is wearing what color shirt?
At a restaurant in town, Mr. Red, Mr. Blue, and Mr. White meet for lunch.
Under their coats they are wearing either a red, blue, or white shirt.
Mr. Blue says, ‘Hey, did you notice we are all wearing different colored shirts from our names?’
The man wearing the white shirt says, ‘Wow, Mr. Blue, that’s right!’
Can you tell who is wearing what color shirt?
Mr. Blue : red shirt
Mr. Red : white shirt
Mr. White : blue shirt
Mr. Blue is not wearing the blue shirt, nor is he wearing the white shirt. Therefore Mr. Blue is wearing the red shirt. Since Mr. White can’t wear the white shirt, he must be wearing the blue shirt, leaving the white shirt for Mr. Red.
Where is it mentioned Mr. Blue is not wearing white shirt?
Mr Blue- White Shirt
Mr Red-White Shirt
Mr White- Blue Shirt
Is also possible answer
Dear Vinayak:It has been said in the question that: we are all wearing different colored shirts from our names so it is not possible that Mr. Blue and Mr. Red will both have the same shirt color. Also the person with the white shirt said: ‘Wow, Mr. Blue, that’s right!’ so it can’t be that he is talking to himself…
According to the 1st fact that: Mr. Blue said: “…we are all wearing different colored shirts from our names” we have two options
1) Mr. Blue : red shirt
Mr. Red : white shirt
Mr. White : blue shirt
2) Mr. Blue: white shirt
Mr. red: blue shirt
Mr. white: Red shirt
but since the man wearing the white shirt said: ‘Wow, Mr. Blue, that’s right!’ it can’t be option 2 (he is wearing the white shirt) So option 1 is the right answer.
