planting trees riddle

A specialist Gardener asked by a Mathematics professor to plant four trees that are all equidistant from each other. How do he place the trees?
A Tetrahedron is the polyhedron where all points are equidistant to each other.
So the man should grow the plants such that they form the tetrahedron.
For ex: 3 plants at the base and 1 at the top of the mountain.
Simply invert an equilatetal tetrahedron.
Plant 3 plants in an equilateral triangle, then dig a hole in the center such that the base of the hole is the same distance from each of the 3 previous plants as they are from each other.
Then plant the fourth plant at the base of the hole.
