Count the Animals

A pet show was happening in my locality. I went down along with my kids. In that show, I noticed that all except two of the entries were cats. All except two were dogs and all except two were Monkeys.
Can you find out how many of each animals were present in that pet show?
All except two were cats, So it means that the 2 animals were not cats.
Hence, 1 animal can be dog and other can be monkey.
Similarly, if we take the scenario for dogs, then we can the same combination of cat and monkey.
Hence there were 3 animals in total – cat, dog and monkey – 1 each.
That’s one very poor show indeed…! Just three animals, one of each kind…!!
