Somehow make the bottle to fall either by creating wind so that it topples down and the ring touches the bottle.

The cubes with 3 side paint will be 8 – 1 on every corner with 8 corners in a cube.
The cubes with 2 side painted will be 24. – 2 on each edge with 12 edges in a cube.
The cubes with 1 side painted will be 24- 4 on each face with 6 faces in a cube.
With no paint- 8 cubes-  64 minus (8+ 24+ 24)

The next person can take a chocolate by a minimum of one more chocolate to get the max no. of friends in line. This means that sum of 1,2,3,….. should equal 100. Thus n(n+1) div by 2 = 100. On solving, n would lie between 13 and 14.
