Train leaving time riddle
John is taking the train to the Library. He tells Jacob the hour of his train’s departure and he tells Tony at which minute it leaves. He also tells them both that the train leaves between 0600 and 1000.
They consult the timetable and find the following services between those two time: 0632 0643 0650 0717 0746 0819 0832 0917 0919 0950
Jacob then says “I don’t know when John’s train leaves but i am sure that neither does Tony”
Tony Replies “I didn’t know his train, but now i do”
Jacob responds “Now I do as well!”
When is John’s train and how do you know?

when Jacob made first statement it is clear that hour was such that there is no minute in it from which schedule can be easily understood which means hours of 746 643 are not on which his train was.SO either 8 19 832 917 919 950 are required answers now after tonys reply it is clear that minute was such which was uncommon in those two hours which leads to either 8.32 ,917 or 950 .AFTER JACOBS REPLY IT IS CLEAR HOUR IS Such that there is only train so 8 .32

If Jacob got the hour 6, he could not say that Tony does not know the answer because he might got 6:43. The same applies to 7 because Tony could have 7:46. So that leaves us that Jacob got the hours 8 or 9. The possible minutes are 17,19,32,50 and for each of them Tony has more than one possibility so Jacob can say for sure that Tony does not know the answer.
Now, if Jacob got 9 and Tony 50 or 17, Tony will say he knows the answer, but Jacob wouldn’t know (because there is more than one possibility this hour). And if Tony got 19 he still does not know, therefor since he said he knows the answer can not be 8:19 and that leaves us with 8:32
