In a standard deck of 52 playing cards, there are four kings and four queens, for a total of eight cards that are either a king or a queen.
The probability of drawing a king or a queen from the deck is therefore:
P(king or queen) = P(king) + P(queen) – P(king and queen)
P(king) = 4/52 = 1/13 (there are four kings in the deck) P(queen) = 4/52 = 1/13 (there are four queens in the deck) P(king and queen) = 0 (there are no cards that are both a king and a queen)
So,
P(king or queen) = 1/13 + 1/13 – 0 = 2/13
Therefore, the probability of getting a king or a queen from a pack of 52 cards is 2/13 or approximately 0.15 (15%).

We can assume that when he goes out his place he does not intend to wait long to the metro. So since his average speed is half his normal, he managed to go only half the way that on a normal day at that time he would have reached the station. Therefor there is no way Albert will be able to catch it this time.
But if for example he comes as hour early and lets say he rides an hour than it means the while he waits he could ride 60km. So on that day after an hour the distance left is still 30Km and if now he rides at 60km that it will take him only 30 minutes and he will wait only 30 minutes.
So me can see that shorter the time he waits for the METRO the faster he needs to ride the 1/2 way.- 4674 views

Answer: The ratio is 1:1 (surprisingly) Explanation: This is a simple question of probability... Suppose we have C families. So we will eventually have C sons (after all, we keep giving birth until a son is born) The probability of having a daughter is: Number of girls = 0 * the probability of having 0 girls + 1 * the probability of having one girl + 2 * the probability of having 2 girls + ...... We will get: 0*(C*1/2) + 1*(C*1/2*1/2) + 2*(C*1/2*1/2*1/2) + … That is: 0 + C/4 + 2*C/8 + 3*C/16 + … It converges to C. So the ratio is 1:1

The traveler goes to the barbershop on East Street for his haircut. The reason being that the barber on East Street gave the only decent haircut in town since he did not cut his own hair. Since the traveler was not impressed with the barber’s own haircut, he figured that the East Street barber must have gone to the West Street barber to get his haircut, and that the West Street barber must have done a terrible job. Therefore, the traveler concluded that the East Street barber was the better choice.

The long-term habitability of New Orleans depends on several factors, including the effectiveness of its flood control systems, the rate of sea-level rise caused by global warming, and the ability of its residents and infrastructure to adapt to changing conditions.
While the levees have been repaired since Hurricane Katrina, there are concerns that they may not be able to withstand the increasing frequency and intensity of storms caused by climate change. Additionally, the city is sinking due to geological subsidence, and rising sea levels will exacerbate the risk of flooding.
According to a study published in the journal Nature Communications in 2021, the combination of sea-level rise and land subsidence is projected to put New Orleans at risk of flooding from even minor storms within the next few decades. The study also suggests that New Orleans could be uninhabitable by the end of the century if carbon emissions continue to rise at their current rate and if no additional action is taken to protect the city.
However, it’s worth noting that the fate of New Orleans is not set in stone. Local and national governments can take steps to mitigate the risks of flooding, such as investing in better infrastructure, strengthening building codes, and relocating residents from areas that are most at risk. Additionally, individuals and communities can take action to reduce carbon emissions and support efforts to address climate change.
In summary, the long-term habitability of New Orleans is uncertain, and much depends on the actions taken to address the risks of flooding and climate change.

Answer: 58 minutes. Because at the end of every minute it is 1 feet higher the before. so after 56 minutes we start from height 56, climb 3 to 59 and slip 2 down so at the beginning of 57 minute we start from 57 feet, it takes 1 minute to climb and reach the top from which it does not slip anymore

Mr. PK can ask the following question: “If I were to ask the other owl which road leads to WonderLand, what would it say?”
Let’s say Mr. PK asks this question to the truthful owl. The truthful owl knows that the other owl always lies, so if Mr. PK were to ask the other owl, it would lie and give the wrong answer. Therefore, the truthful owl would truthfully say that the other owl would give the wrong answer.
On the other hand, if Mr. PK asks the same question to the lying owl, the lying owl would know that the truthful owl would give the correct answer, so it would lie and give the wrong answer. Therefore, the lying owl would also say that the other owl would give the wrong answer.
In either case, Mr. PK can determine the correct road to take by taking the opposite of the answer given by the owl. So, he can follow the road indicated by the answer of the owl to reach WonderLand.

If we put letters instead of the ….. that it will look like: A+13 * B/C + D +12 * E -F -11 + G*H/I – 10 =66
So we can write it as 13*B/C + 12*E + G*H/I =66+10+11 + F – D – A = 87 +F -D -A. The highest possible number can be 87+9-1-3=93 and the lowest can be 87+1-9-8 =71
The lowest result for G * H /I can be 2 (1*4/2)
Also B/C must be an integer (and also G*H/I) and if we take all facts in concern we can see that 71 <= 13*X+12*Y+2 <=93 and so X (=b/c) <= 6 and Y <=5.
That leaves us with 130 options…. Yeh really “Easy Math puzzle”…So after a lot working the solution is: 9 +13 x 4 : 1 + 5 + 12 x 2 – 7 – 11 + 8 x 3 : 6 – 10 = 66
