We have a 100 foot piece of ribbon. If it takes one second to cut it into a 1 foot strip how long would it take to cut the entire ribbon into one foot strips?

To cut the ribon time required
1 feet riboon cut = 1 sec
To cut 100 ft ribbon
100 ft =100 sec
It will take 99 sec, because at last when the last strip of 2 foot will remain .. it will take only one second to cut it into two strips of i foot each..
2 sec. Fold into two feet each in zigzag manner. Cut in middle so you will be left with 2 one feet ribbon and 49 of 2 feet ribbons. Stack 49 of 2 feet ribbons and cut in middle.
