How about looking for ‘eyes’ instead of “i’s”?
As in a ‘hook & eye’ set… Or a coconut… Or a storm…? Or any optical instrument that has an ‘eye’ piece?

Answer – Maid
Theoretically, a ‘circular house’ with ‘corners to dust’ seems impossible, and the maid could end up ‘cornered’ as the suspect / criminal.
But practically… is it really so…? It’s only said that the house is circular, but not the individual rooms. So, there can be corners… Even more so, because, being a maid working in that house, she MUST be already aware that the house is circular and hence any statement / claim like ‘dusting the corners’ is sure to backfire. Given this scenario, she wouldn’t even think of such a ‘self-goal’-like statement. Being so, if she still gave a statement that she was dusting the corners, the house must really have corners, at least somewhere inside. Hence. Mr. Smith would have remained clueless.

Theoretically, they can dig up dirt from the ground and use it to gain some elevation. But, in practice, just like tunneling out, it involves too much work and will attract attention.

The scenario is practically impossible, NOT just because there is no such bank, but because one can’t deposit amounts in fractions of paise.
Theoretically, though, this scenario is possible as below:
Year Amount Calc. Start 63.984375 Y1 End 62.968750 63.984375 * 2 – 65 Y2 End 60.937500 62.96875* 2 – 65 Y3 End 56.875000 60.9375 * 2 – 65 Y4 End 48.750000 56.875 * 2 – 65 Y5 End 32.500000 48.75 * 2 – 65 Y6 End 0.000000 32.5 * 2 – 65 = 0 - 3048 views

He must be the only nephew of my only maternal uncle. Provided that each of my parents married only once, and my father didn’t have any offspring out of wedlock, he (the child in question) must also be the only son of my mother’s husband. And, well, I’d just met him half an hour back, when I looked at the mirror. 🙂

If I were to overtake someone holding a certain position, I should have been in some other position behind him / her. So, before overtaking, which position was I in…??
🙂
Well, if the ‘last person‘ means the last person I have to overtake in the race, I’d be in the FIRST place after overtaking. 🙂

As such, the ‘puzzle‘ is not merely a ‘puzzle’ but a complicated mathematical scenario, The entire scenario transforms into a simple, straight-forward equation:
The speed of the bird: 1 m/s,
The time duration for which it kept moving: 1 hr. = 60 * 60 = 3600 sec.
Since the speed of the bird was constant throughout, the trajectory taken by it, however complicated, is irrelevant. The distance travelled would be
1 m/s * 3600 s = 3600 m OR 3.6 kmThis answer accepted by SherlockHolmes. on 28th September 2016 Earned 20 points.
