Egg belongs to whom riddle

John, Jony and Jacob, were three neighboring farmers who were discussing what would happen if John’s peacock laid an egg in Jony’s car, whilst the car was parked on Jacob’s land
All three man said that the egg would be theirs. Jacob said it would be his because he owned the peacock. Jony said it would be his because it was laid in his car. Jacob said it would be his because it was laid on his land.
To which of the three would the egg rightfully belong? 
Send that PEACOCK and the egg to me first, so that I can examine it and decide, since it needs to be confirmed whether the egg is of the peacock itself, because I never knew that a PEACOCK could lay eggs…!!
