Two men are standing on one side of a bridge and two women are approaching them. One of the men says, “Here comes my wife and daughter” to which the second man replies, “Here comes my wife and daughter”.
If they have not married the same woman and the women aren’t pregnant, how is this true?same wife and daughter puzzle

    The men are widowers and married each others’ daughter.

    One of the men is father of one of the women to whom the other men is married to. When the other men says “wife and daughter”, he refers to the same woman (she is his wife and daughter of the father next to him).  When father says “wife and daughter”, that’s his daughter and wife of the man next to him.
