To travel 80 miles the truck will use some of the petrol in it.So after travelling 80 miles truck’s total weight will be less than 100,000 Pounds .so if a small bird lands on the truck nothing will happen if the total weight of truck and bird is less than 100,000.

The bridge’s weight limit is rated at the weakest part of the bridge, i.e. the middle. After 80 miles the truck is 4/5 of the way over the bridge, and it can handle more weight at that point.
