4 Weight bars to weigh given wieght puzzle

You  have to take 4 weight bars (all of integer values).
Using only those 4 bars  you can weight all from 1 kg to 40 kg (only integers) in one go,

So, of what  weight you will select those 4 bars? And how will you weigh?weighting stones puzzle

    we can easily understand how 1 to 4 kg is done just using 1 and 3-
    To Weigh 1Kg – Use 1kg Bar
    To Weight 2Kg – Use 3kg Bar on 1 side and 1Kg bar on the other side
    and so on……..

    Now keeping 9 on other side and using 1 and 3 making combinations of 1 to 4 by using 1 and 3 on other side .net would be  combinations of 5 to 8 as we are using combinations of 1 to 4  to subtract fro 9
    example to make 5 use 9 on one side and 1 and 3 on other side.
    so using 1,3, 9  we can make up to 13 (9 +3+1) now using 27 as next we can use combinations for 1 to 13 for subtraction from 27 giving us 14 to 27.so we can make from 1 to 40 as 1 +3+9+27) we can use combinations of 1 to 13 after putting 27 to make 28 to 40
