He walk exactly for 45 minutes.
As they reach home 30 minutes early so it means car take 30 min to reach station and comeback at the place where they meet.Since his wife reach station at exact 5 pm so she is 15 away form the station and he reach the one hour early so He must have walk for 45 min(60-15) .
