We are given 100 pieces of a puzzle.
If fixing two components together is counted as 1 move ( a component can be one piece or an already fixed set of pieces),

    99 is the answer!!
    Explanation:
    First we will fix 2 components together = 1 move(This is our first fixed piece!!)
    98 components are left .
    Now we will fix like this way: Our first fixed piece, and one from remaining 98 pieces.
    97 components left.
    Now we will fix like this way: Our second fixed piece, and one from remaining 97 pieces.
    96 comp left.
    So we will need 96 more step.
    Each time one component will decrease!!
    Total = 1(Our first move) + (1 + 1+……total number of 1 is 98) = 99.

    i think 99 is the answer.. first we can fix the components in the combination of two we have 50 parts left ..Then we fix those 50 parts in a manner 2 to 2 each means attaching them , hence we left them with 25 parts.Then we select 24 parts and leave one piece as extra  and fix them pairwise 4 by 4 each.. so that  all pieces are fixed leaving behind only one piece.. then similarly fo 12 pieces we get 6 moves and for 6 pieces we have 3 moves.
    when there is three pieces they are combined in such a way that 2 pieces from the last 3 pieces are joined and 1 piece that is left behind in 3rd step is taken to fix..And lastly we join the last pieces ..
    then  50+25+12+6+3+2+1 = 99..

    i guess 99 if it is right i will tell how it happened.
    if 2d only.keep a Peiece  on table then join the pieces which have to be connected with the the thing on table.just connect one. Join with one card if it automatically joins with other card then that happened automatically you were just doing your job.it will all fit automatically because it is made to fit.

    what is  the reason for downvote
