- Charles and Adrian had been teaching for a total of 28 years.
How long had each been teaching?

Adrian and Betty had been teaching for a total of 36 years. => A + B = 36 (1)
Charles and Betty had been teaching for a total of 22 years. => B + C = 22 (2)
Charles and Adrian had been teaching for a total of 28 years => A + C = 28 (3)

Solving the equations, A = 21, B = 15, C = 7
=> Adrian has been teaching for 21 Years; Betty for 15 Years and Charles, 7 years.
